About Vuur
The Vuur story began in 2021, our friend Shaun Scrooby the Chef/Owner of Vuur approached us with a unique concept of fire cooking, story telling and wine pairing. He identified our old horse stables under an ancient oak tree as the ideal venue for this unique concept.
VUUR, the Afrikaans word for fire, is the main form of cooking used in the preparation of all the food items during your dining experience at VUUR.
Each plate of food is delicately paired with a wine from Remhoogte Estate and served straight from the fire to your table.
The concept has received great interest and reviews, which led to the opening of Vuur Goose Island in December 2023, a shared, chefs table allowing more guests to enjoy the Vuur experience.
