EXCELLENT Based on 204 reviews Posted on Google wade whitearTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We visited Remhoogte Wine Estate after being told by Jean that this was the place to experience in Stellenbosch (completely unbiased recommendation, of course 👀). A cold, windy weekday meant we had the estate almost entirely to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. We were welcomed by the resident guard dog, who turned out to be more interested in making friends than guarding anything. The views from the tasting room were incredible. Looking out over the estate, we spotted springbok, copper springbok, wildebeest, zebras, and several other animals roaming the property. It felt less like a wine tasting and more like a safari with exceptional wine. What stood out most about the tasting was the variety. Some wines were favourites for one person and less so for another, only for the next wine to completely reverse those opinions. It’s a tasting experience that genuinely offers something for everyone. We were also introduced to their fascinating orange wine, a great example of how the winemaking team continues to push boundaries and explore new possibilities. Across the board, the red wines were outstanding, consistently delivering quality and character. The Premium and Reserve ranges were particularly impressive and are easy recommendations. A highlight of the visit was the cellar tour with Monique. Her passion, knowledge, and attention to detail brought the story of the farm and its wines to life. It added a whole new level of appreciation for what goes into every bottle. The only thing missing? A set of branded neoprene wine sleeves for the bottles we took home. After spending the day there and leaving with a few favourites, it would have been the perfect way to carry them home and a great keepsake from the experience. Remhoogte is more than just a wine farm—it’s an experience. Incredible scenery, exceptional wines, abundant wildlife, and passionate people make it a destination well worth visiting. We’ll definitely be back. Wine, wildlife, and world-class hospitality. What more could you ask for? 🍷🦓🍇Posted on Google Carol anne OdendaalTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing cottage, overlooking a meadow with game roaming. Posted on Google Leon BeckerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
